Patta May Make The Nike Air Max 1 “Chlorophyll”
Patta, deeply intertwined with the essence of Amsterdam, has become inseparable from the iconic Nike Air Max 1. Despite their recent collaboration on Tinker Hatfield's groundbreaking design in August 2022, Patta is set to breathe new life into the silhouette once again with a refreshing "Chlorophyll" makeover slated for the upcoming year.
For those not well-versed in the sneaker scene, the European brand Patta, co-founded by Guillaume Schmidt and Edson Sabajo, holds a commendable reputation for crafting some of the most revered and sought-after Air Max 1s in history. In 2009, Patta marked its 5th anniversary with a special edition adorned in a fabric drenched in the distinctive "Chlorophyll" color. This particular sneaker showcased a more subdued style compared to other creations by Schmidt, Sabajo, and their team, yet it garnered equal acclaim for its rejuvenating reinterpretation of Hatfield's original 1987 design. While Patta isn't the sole entity to incorporate "Chlorophyll" accents into swoosh-branded products (Nike's original Air Trainer 1 did so two decades prior), the lush green hue has become closely linked with Patta's signature touch.
